MILLS PENINSULA HOSPITAL REPLACEMENT FACILITY

This $618 million, 700,000 square foot hospital replacement project is one of the most innovative structural designs to ever pass through the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD). The structural frame is supported on 176 base isolators fabricated at EPS’s Vallejo Plant with Atlas quality assurance oversight.

  • Over 9,000 tons of structural steel fabricated in San Bernardino and Stockton simultaneously.
  • 32 seismic dampers fabricated at Taylor Devices inspected during prototype and production.
  • During peak construction, as many as 12 inspectors onsite and offsite.
  • Issued incremental final affidavits to provide access to structure.
