Atlas provided quality assurance services for the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) Terminal 2 Boarding Area D Renovation and Expansion, a $388 million-dollar project. Working with T2 Partners Construction Management and SFO, prior to the onset of construction, Atlas provided critical input to the design team members to evaluate existing conditions to facilitate final design solutions.
- Utilized ground penetrating radar for location of reinforcing steel.
- Evaluated existing columns and beams for structural damage.
- Evaluated fireproofing in all areas of the structure for trade damage.
- Full-time multi-disciplined inspector onsite throughout.
