Atlas was recently awarded the material testing and special inspection services for the OAC project. The project is the construction of an Automated Guide way Transit (AGT) system between the Oakland Coliseum BART Station and the Oakland International Airport. The majority of the guide way will be elevated. Atlas will be providing field sampling and testing services and laboratory materials testing for the following: earthwork, utility relocations, concrete piles, structural concrete for columns, bents and pile caps, station slabs and walls, and structural steel construction for the new stations and the pedestrian bridge.
