Diverse, Equitable & Inclusive Communities

We are stronger together.

We know that diverse people and perspectives yield the most equitable solutions. That’s why we’re working to elevate diversity, equity and inclusion in our organization, and laying the groundwork to make a positive impact in our communities.

Our Approach

We leverage the power of our diverse backgrounds and capabilities to create shared value for all stakeholders. Engaged employees feel valued and included. That’s why we’re committed to growing more diverse, equitable and inclusive communities from the inside-out.

Supporting Our Employees

We are committed to creating a culture where every employee feels safe and inspired to bring their authentic self to work. At Atlas, inclusion is about enhancing our employees’ workplace experience and fostering a company culture that is void of discrimination and bias.

Developing Diverse Talent

We seek to recruit, develop, and promote diverse talent throughout our organization. As part of our early talent program, Atlas prioritizes recruiting from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to meet diverse candidates where they are. Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Council also leads Atlas’ seven Employee Resources that serve as a safe space for employees to be their authentic selves. Additionally, each Atlas employee participates in companywide unconscious bias training every year.

Participating in Communities

We aspire to make thoughtful, collaborative and sustainable contributions to our communities. Given our nationwide presence, we believe we have the personal relationships and reach to make a difference. As part of our annual DE&I plan, each year we develop community outreach events that support STEAM, under-served, and underrepresented communities.

Our Employee Resource Groups

We established seven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to foster an environment where employees thrive and feel a deep sense of belonging. Our groups are voluntary, employee-led groups that provide support, networking, and camaraderie, while also serving as a platform to address companywide diversity challenges that are otherwise difficult to tackle alone. By bringing together employees with a common interest or cause, we create a safe space for conversation and sharing that helps everyone feel connected.

BUILDING DIVERSE PARTNERSHIPS

Diverse partnerships help us to create more equitable communities and accelerate our impact. As a mentor in the Small Business Administration’s Mentor/Protégé Program, Atlas provides education, support and guidance to various diverse small businesses — empowering them to expand their capacity, grow beyond small business status and create positive economic and social ripple effects throughout their communities.

Building on that work, Atlas is currently developing a supplier diversity program and working to increase diverse partnerships across our supply chains.
